POLICY 1: GENERAL TOURS (Trekking Etna, Bici, Kayak, ecc.)

How to Book

Booking with Sicily Active is simple:

Send us an email with your tour choice, dates, and number of participants
We'll confirm availability and send you all tour details
We'll contact you via WhatsApp to discuss specifics and arrange payment
Choose your payment method (Card via secure link or Cash on tour day)
You're booked! We'll send final details and meeting point info

Booking & Cancellation Policy

How to pay

We offer two payment options:

Option 1: Pay with Card (Prepayment) Our booking office will send you a secure payment link via WhatsApp. Your spot is confirmed once payment is received.

Option 2: Pay with Cash (On Tour) No prepayment needed. You'll pay the full amount at the end of your tour.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

If you're paying by Card:

✅ Cancel for FREE up to 24 hours before your tour
❌ Cancel within 24 hours = NO REFUND (full amount forfeited)
❌ No-show = NO REFUND

If you're paying by Cash:

No cancellation needed – you just don't show up
No prepayment means no refund to process
Once the tour is over, payment is due

When we'll refund you (Card payments only) If we cancel due to bad weather, volcanic activity, or our decision:

✅ Full refund within 2-3 working days to your original card

Trip Leader Authority Our trip leader represents Sicily Active and makes all decisions during your tour. If your behavior, fitness, or presence affects the group's safety or the tour's progress, the leader can ask you to leave without refund.

Age & Fitness Requirements Minimum age: 12 years old (some family trips accept younger children). Under 18s must be accompanied by a legal guardian or authorized adult.
Health & Medical It's your responsibility to check health requirements 2 months before travel. We're not medical experts – get proper medical advice for your destination.

Photos & Marketing By booking, you agree we can use photos taken during your trip for promotion and advertising.

Complaints If something goes wrong, tell the trip leader or our office immediately. If unresolved, contact us within 30 days of your return.

Legal These terms are governed by Italian Law and Italian courts.

POLICY 2: SHORE EXCURSIONS BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY

How to Book

Booking a shore excursion with Sicily Active is easy:

Send us an email with your excursion choice, preferred date, and number of participants
We'll confirm availability and send you excursion details and pricing
We'll contact you via WhatsApp to discuss specifics and arrange payment
We'll send you a secure payment link via WhatsApp to pay your 20% deposit (required to confirm your spot)
Pay the remaining 80% by card before your excursion (or in cash on excursion day if paying cash)
You're booked! We'll send final meeting point, time, and what to bring

Booking & Payment Options

We offer flexible payment options for shore excursions:

Option 1: Pay with Card

20% deposit via secure link (sent via WhatsApp) to confirm your spot
80% balance due before your excursion date (via secure link)

Option 2: Pay with Cash

100% balance due on the day of your excursion

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Free cancellation up to 24 hours before You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before your excursion date and meeting time. Any amount already paid will be fully refunded.

Cancellations less than 24 hours before Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your excursion are non-refundable.

If paying by Card:

❌ You forfeit the entire amount (both 20% deposit + 80% balance)
❌ No refund will be issued

If paying by Cash:

✅ The 100% balance (due on excursion day) is not charged if you don't show up

No-show / Missed Meeting Point If you don't show up at the meeting point on time, the booking is considered a no-show:

If you paid by card: no refund

When we'll refund you If we cancel due to bad weather, volcanic safety conditions, or our decision:

✅ Full refund within 2-3 working days to your original payment method

Cruise Ship Timing Our shore excursion schedule is carefully planned to ensure you return to the ship on time. You must follow the program timing and guide instructions throughout the day. Late returns may result in missing your ship's departure – Sicily Active is not responsible for any costs or consequences.

Guide Authority & Safety Your guide has final say on all safety decisions. If conditions are unsafe or your behavior risks the group, the guide can end your participation without refund.

Age & Fitness Requirements Minimum age: Depends on the activity (ask when booking). Children under 18 need an adult supervisor.

You must be reasonably fit for the activity level. Physical demands vary – check the activity description or ask us.

Health & Medical Check health/fitness requirements before booking. We can advise, but you're responsible for getting proper medical clearance if needed.

Photos & Marketing We may use photos from your excursion for promotion and advertising.

Complaints Report issues to your guide or our office right away. Unresolved complaints must be reported within 30 days.

Legal These terms follow Italian Law and Italian courts.

POLICY 3: GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

Our Liability Sicily Active accepts responsibility for our employees only, provided they act within the scope of their employment. We are not liable for any action or event that was unforeseeable or unavoidable, even with all due care, or attributable to improper action by you or any third party.

Complaints Process If you have any complaint:

Tell the trip leader or guide immediately
Contact our office as soon as possible
If unresolved at the end of your trip, notify Sicily Active within 30 days of your return

We'll do our best to resolve it.

Photos & Marketing By booking with Sicily Active, you consent to us using images of you taken during your trip for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium we choose. You grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide, irrevocable license to use such images.

Age & Supervision

Some family trips accept younger children – ask when booking
All travelers under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian or authorized adult (18+)
If a guardian designates an escort, they must complete and sign a delegation document

Health & Fitness

It's your responsibility to obtain proper medical advice 2 months before travel
We're not medical experts – check health requirements for your destination
Our trips are physically demanding – ensure you're fit to participate
We recommend 12 weeks of training beforehand

Inclusion & Exclusion

What's included:

All accommodation as listed on our website
All transport as listed on our website
Sightseeing and meals as specified
Services of a professional guide/leader

Trip Leader & Guide Authority Our trip leaders and guides represent Sicily Active and have final authority over all decisions during your tour or excursion. If your behavior, fitness level, or presence affects the group's safety or the itinerary's progress, they may ask you to leave without refund.

Force Majeure Bad weather, volcanic activity, or other unforeseeable circumstances may result in tour cancellation. In these cases, you'll receive a full refund within 2-3 working days.

Governing Law These terms and conditions are governed by Italian Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Italian courts.
