FAQ - Tour Fotografico

Do I need to be a pro to join the photographic tour?

No pal, as long as you have a genuine passion for photos that is enough.

What gear do I need?

A camera, a wide angle and/or a zoom allowing you to stretch from a wide angle to at least 150mm, and a tripod. To have laptop would be a good idea so you can ceck your pics with the rest of the group at the end of the day.

Will some body be there to help me?

Yes, Vera an experienced photographer will be all along the tour beside you to share her experience in every given moment.

Do I need to be fit to get to the places where we will shoot?

The sites are easy to reach and walking distances are no longer than 5 km. In some cases, there may be some steep climbs or stretches of terrain along the riverbanks slightly bumpy.

What kind of accomodation will I be staying in?

The places where you will stay during the week tour,  will be in family run accomodations the first five days and in a four stars Hotel for the last three days.

Will I be covered by an insurance during the photo tour?

Sicily Active has an insurance coverage during the photo tour,. Always check the box “what is included” in the main page of the photo tour.

How many people will be on my trip?

In Italy, we say that the good wine comes in small tanks, which is why we keep our group sizes down. This means we are small enough to remain flexible as we thread our way through small communities. On most of our trips, you will be part of an intimate group of 4-16 people, though our group sizes are on average eight people.

Are there age restrictions on your trips?

For our photo tour week, the minimum age is 13. An adult must accompany all children under the age of 18.

Who will be my group leader?

Ivano or Vera will be your leader, two joyful persons who find great pride in showing the island to whoever is curious about it. Ceck out "About Us" at the bottom of the Home page

Can I make any changes to the itinerary of my group trip, either before or during the trip?

Please make sure you are happy with your group trip itinerary before booking because we are unable to change them for individual travellers. However, if you and a group of friends, colleagues or even your school would like your own personally designed itinerary, get in contact with us, we can tailor an itinerary just for you.

Can I add an extra night on the beginning or end of my group trip, either before or during the trip?

You sure can. Just ask Ivano or Vera.

If I am travelling solo, will I be charged a single supplement?

As a solo traveller, you will have the choice of either paying a single supplement or sharing a twin room with someone of the same gender.

Can we book a triple room?

Depending on the trip you choose, our trips are organised on a twin or triple. If the bookings are made well in advance, individual room requests can be guaranteed.

Will it cost much more a single room?

We honestly try to keep our prices as low as we can but hotel price goes beyond our control and can fluctuate. Usually a single room supplement can cost an extra 25/35 euros per day.
