Meeting & Equipment
Meeting point is directly at the Alcantara Lakes entrance. After check-in, participants receive wetsuit, helmet, life jacket and river shoes. Lockers, showers and changing rooms are available on site.
Safety Briefing
Before entering the river, guides explain body positioning, movement in mild rapids and how to approach optional jumps safely. Participation requires moderate physical condition and basic swimming ability.
River Descent
The experience follows a downstream route inside volcanic basalt formations shaped by ancient lava flows. The canyon walls reach up to 30 meters and display distinctive geometric patterns typical of the Alcantara Valley.
Rapids & Natural Slides
During the descent, participants cross small rapids and use natural rock slides to move downstream. Sliding on the back is part of the body rafting technique and always supervised by guides.
Optional Jumps
The route includes six optional jumps into natural pools, with different heights along the descent (maximum approximately 6 meters). Alternative paths are always available.
