Alcantara Quad Bike Adventure

This Alcantara Quad tour is the ideal activity for those who love engines, adventure and want contact with nature. Sicily Active with this quad bike excursion will take you for a fun-filled day through the muddy off-road trails near the Alcantara Gorges, we will drive through the village of Francavilla di Sicilia and last but not least you will marvel at the fantastic landscape of the Alcantara Valley. During this 90 minutes Alcantara quad excursion we will cross a stream and pass at the foot of the medieval village of Castiglione di Sicilia through a series of dirt tracks where you can enjoy all the power of the engine of your Quad. Our quad tours to the Alcantara Gorges are available every day at 10, 11, 12, in the morning and then at 15, 16,and 17 p.m. in the afternoon. Remember that up to two people can get on the Quad at a time

Escursion Details

The departure of this quad excursion starts from the parking lot of the Botanical and Geological Park of the Alcantara Gorges. Here you can park, use the bathroom and use the bar. The guides of the Sicily Active team will make a briefing before leaving, they will explain how to safely drive a quad, they will provide you with a helmet and tell you the itinerary you will follow. During the quad tour lasting one hour and thirty minutes, you will drive along the country paths of the Alcantara Gorges and the Alcantara Valley, the San Paolo stream, and the town of Francavilla di Sicilia. Remember that up to two people can get on the quad and can alternate driving. The tour can be extended up to a maximum of two hours and thirty minutes, or you can also choose the Etna Quad Tour.

This exciting two and half hour quad bike tour will take you to the heart of the Alcantara Valley. Through a series of off-road trails, you will visit Castiglione di Sicilia, (in winter time) a beautiful mountain village, and the lakes of the Gurne Alcantara in summer time. Along this quad bike tour, you can ride your ATV through Sicilian nature and take some pictures of Mount Etna from some viewpoint. Remember to bring your driving license. 1 ALCANTARA VALLEY ROUTE - 1H - €49 This tour lasts 1 hour and winds through the countryside of Francavilla, including the crossing of the San Paolo stream. This tour is ideal for those approaching a quad tour for the first time or those who have children with them.

2 ROUTE ALCANTARA VALLEY, CASTIGLIONE DI SICILIA or Laghi delle Gurne - 2H AND 30 MINUTES - €89 This tour has more off-road than the 1 hour one. In winter we reach the hilltop village of Castiglione di Sicilia, while in summer we take you to the lakes of the Alcantara river where you can swim.
