This 4-hour Taormina snorkeling tour covers the four main bays along the coast — Naxos Bay, Isola Bella Marine Park, Mazzarò Bay and the Bay of the Sirens — with two guided snorkeling sessions, wetsuits and full equipment, Sicilian food and Prosecco served on board. Departure takes place from Giardini Naxos harbour, below Taormina.
The program prioritizes time in the water rather than panoramic coastal navigation. Each snorkeling session is conducted in carefully selected zones based on water clarity and sea conditions, allowing guests to explore different underwater environments within the protected marine reserve. The second stop is selected based on wind direction and sea stability between Mazzarò Bay and the Bay of the Sirens.
An instructor is present on board to supervise entry and exit procedures and to assist during both snorkeling sessions. The 11-meter vessel hosts a maximum of 12 guests and includes shaded areas and an onboard bathroom.
The tour is available from May to October with morning departure at 09:30 (arrival at the harbour by 09:15) and afternoon departure at 14:30 (arrival by 14:00).
The tour departs from Giardini Naxos harbour, a short drive from Taormina. The meeting point is Ristorante La Sirena, at Giardini Naxos harbour. Guests must arrive 15 minutes before departure for check-in and equipment distribution.
Boarding takes place directly from the dock with controlled access procedures. The vessel is 11 meters long and equipped with shaded areas and an onboard bathroom.
The first snorkeling stop usually takes place near the protected waters of Isola Bella. The area is known for volcanic rock formations, natural seabeds and regulated marine biodiversity.
Wetsuits, mask and fins are provided. The instructor supervises water entry and exit procedures. Guests can reboard comfortably using the stern ladder.
The duration of each snorkeling session varies between 25 and 40 minutes depending on sea conditions and group pace.
The second snorkeling stop is selected based on wind direction and sea stability. It takes place in Mazzarò Bay or the Bay of the Sirens, while Capo Taormina is admired during the navigation.
This dual-stop structure allows guests to experience two distinct underwater environments instead of a single swim break.
During surface intervals between snorkeling sessions, Sicilian food is served onboard. The selection includes Sicilian appetisers and freshly baked tavola calda specialities such as arancini, pizzette and cartocciate.
Prosecco and soft drinks are included. Service is provided while anchored or during slow coastal navigation.
Food service is integrated into the experience and does not replace snorkeling time.
The boat is 11 meters long and hosts a maximum of 12 guests. It includes:
