Escursion Details
The departure of this cable car tour starts around 8:30 when a guide will pick you up at your hotel or at the Catania train station if you are coming from Taormina. After 50 minutes by car there will be time for a stop in a bar near the cable car station, where you will be given your trekking shoes and walking poles. We will board the cable car to reach a height of 2500 meters from where we will start a fantastic trek of 6km, lasting 3 hours during which the guide will explain the history and geology of the volcano Etna. After reaching the highest point of the trek at an altitude of 2800 meters and having admired the Valle del Bove, we will head back towards the cable car to return to the starting point where we will have lunch in a bar near the Rifugio sapienza. The return to the hotel is expected around 4pm.
